Turkish Bed Socks

  • Turkish Bed Socks

    Tuesday, November 12th; 5 - 8 pm

This is Mimi’s update of the lovely Turkish Bed Sock pattern which eliminates the need for seaming the socks together and simplifies the process immensely. Using the Magic Loop technique, the socks are begun knitted flat, with a little short-rowing to finesse the fit at the back of the heel. Once the heel is turned, stitches are cast on using the Chinese Waitress Cast On, and the sock is finished in the round, as a standard sock body and toe.

Yarn: 50 grams sock weight yarn

Homework: Cast on 36 sts using Chinese Waitress Cast On. Knit a row, purl a row, knit a row.

Skills Required: Know how to knit, purl, and work in the round

    Tools: 32” circular US 2/ 2.75mm needle
